Cexoil is one of Germany's largest internationally active crude oil and natural gas producer. We explore and produce oil and gas in Europe, North Africa, South America, Russia, and the Middle East. We have been active for over 85 years and have a workforce in excess of about 2,000 employees from more than 50 nationalities. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the chemical group BASF in Ludwigshafen, we base our success on our technical know-how and strong international partnerships.
Our strength is demonstrated in our planning, engineering, construction, operations, maintenance and management of complex infrastructure and industrial facilities. After thirty years we enjoy a strong and established presence in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry in the Gulf and Middle East, and this combined experience has enabled Cexoil to grow into a fully diversified organisation providing quality and safety with efficiency and cost effectiveness.
For decades, fossil-based energy sources have been indispensable for the development of the world economy. Despite the on-going expansion in the use of regenerative energy, crude oil and natural gas will continue to be amongst the world's major energy sources in the coming decades. Natural gas in particular has a major role to play in the new energy mix. Natural gas is safe, flexibly deployable and climate-friendly. Crude oil, one of the most important raw materials for modern industrial societies, continues to play a dominant role as a fuel both in the heating market and in almost all areas of transport. What’s more, crude oil is indispensable in the production of plastics and other chemical products.
