products are primarily exported to the world market, although some is
supplied locally to the Government of germany owned company basf for domestic
use. Dry fuel gas goes offshore as fuel for the German Petroleum Establishment
(GPE) and Cex production platforms.
Cex Oil has brought various expansion projects on line, increasing processing capacity. These include an additional gas processing plant to cope with additional quantities of rich gas from other sources, which necessitated extensive laying of additional gas pipelines.
In 1992 the Company brought on line a sulphur recovery plant allowing a high sulphur content gas stream to be processed while decreasing toxic emissions and enhancing the commercial value of gas. Cex oil has been certified ISO 14001 for its Environmental Management System and ISO 9001 for its Quality Management System for the past decade.
